Condolences
For Charles L. Brient
Over ten years ago, I was a plaintiff in a case
that Judge Brieant heard. As a layperson, he could tell there were
some aspect of the law I did not understand. He took the time to
change hats from Judge to educator to explain many various aspects
of law to me. He made me feel like I was in a Ivy league college
with my own private professor. I will never forget his kindness and
consideration.
He was such a gentleman, so polite and so professional. He made my
first (on only) experience in a Federal Court a truly interesting
and lifetime experience.
To you his family, I pray that his memory be a blessing to all of
you, and that he watches over and protects all of you.
May he rest in eternal peace. |

| So sorry for your loss. I went to school with
Julia in Ossining (6th grade, I think!). We even went to each
other's houses, I remember. And her grandfather, Dr. Brient,
delivered me! I recognized the name right away in the paper, of
course. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. |

On behalf of the McIntosh Family of Ossining, that
have passed or moved away, but, had all the best things to say about
the Judge Brieant and his Family. They came to Ossining in 1914
from Scotland, my father being the oldest son (Duncan McIntosh, Sr.)
who would have been 103 on August 1st, 2008. I would like to send my
condolences for the loss of a great leader and a gentle man. I and a
few other Ossining men would take him to the airport. Recently, I
had written for a point of information and the Judge was very
helpful and kind. God Bless Judge Brieant his family.
With Regrets,
Duncan McIntosh, Jr.
Formerly of; Stone Ave and Still Court now in Florida. |
